make these duties free, the answer is that it is actually not impossible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Specifically, the rules for customs duties on leather shoes in Japan are as follows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Imports from countries that have a free trade agreement with Japan: Duty-free<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Imports from countries that have a WTO agreement with Japan: 30% of the product price or 4,300 yen, whichever is higher<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Imports from other countries (basic tariff rate): 60% of the product price or 4,800 yen, whichever is higher<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>However, please be careful as this amount also changes depending on the characteristics of each pair of leather shoes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Customs Duties on Leather Shoes Are Determined by Country of Origin and Product Characteristics<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a the product price or 4,800 yen, whichever is higher, which is the most expensive general customs duty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the Product Characteristics of Leather Shoes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>And the tricky part about customs duties is that the duty also fluctuates depending on what elements the product is composed of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The customs duty changes in detail based on factors such as what materials are used for the front and back surfaces, whether the product is for outdoor or indoor use, whether it is waterproof, whether the toe is pointed, and whether amount of the imported goods is 200,000 yen or less, a simplified tariff rate which is cheaper than the general tax rate is usually applied, but for leather products, the general tax rate is levied purposes) = 18,000 yen<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>18,000 yen x 30% = 5,400 yen<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 5,400 yen is higher than 4,300 yen, the customs duty amount will be 5,400 yen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Consult the Chief Customs Inspector Department for the Final Customs Duty Amount<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a
